Watched Mädchen in Uniform last night and now all I can think about is a double bill with The Children’s Hour followed by a roundtable full of brilliant minds… like what an interesting conversation that would be! #lesbian #lgbtq #film
Good morning on the 57th of January
While we’re on queer content, I cannot *wait* to watch the season finale of the L word generation Q this weekend. And I’m not going to examine too hard my journey from ‘Bette is objectively a terrible person and always has been, Tina is better off without her’ (season two) to ‘omg Tina and Bette are getting married I love them so much 😍’ (now) let’s just go with it.

We watched Stand Out: An #LGBTQ Celebration from the Netflix is a Joke Fest last night and it was a lot of fun. A couple of people seemed to be on and off really quickly but you generally got enough of a flavour of things. It was especially lovely to see Eddie Izzard at her high-energy-flights-of-fantasy-but-ooh-there’s-a-solid-point-in-there best.

@ShaulaEvans @hollie I assume so! It’s awful. Instant turn-off.

Go into the arts. I'm not kidding. The arts are not a way to make a living. They are a very human way of making life more bearable. Practicing an art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow, for heaven's sake. Sing in the shower. Dance to the radio. Tell stories. Write a poem to a friend, even a lousy poem. Do it as well as you possibly can. You will get an enormous reward. You will have created something. ~Kurt Vonnegut

@ShaulaEvans @audiobooks @bookstodon I already hate even Instagram videos with ai narration, absolutely no way I’d listen to a book narrated by ai.
I love Natasha Pulley’s books - so much so that I’ve had to ration myself since discovering them, otherwise I’d have finished them all in a few weeks. If you liked the yearning and feels of The Watchmaker of Filigree Street, I think you’ll love this

@[email protected] I guess the players and clubs haven’t really migrated, which makes a big difference.
