@b Oh, nice book recommendation, thank you. Not available at my library, so I’ll recommend they purchase it.

This reminds me of a weird zine I saw left in a coffee shop a few+ years back that presented as a simple sci-fi review zine, but the art style (red & black cover, fraktur font, 80’s anime iirc) tipped me off there was more too it, and it ended up reading like a derivative feral house style.

@tofugolem I carry this on my bag as a reminder to myself, and a conversation starter.
Admit it
you always kind of wondered
what you would have done
had you been alive
during the dark times
of the previous century,
and now that you are here
during the dark times
of the current century
you have your answer,
how horrible it is
to have that answer.

I find myself thinking about Porco Rosso this morning. It's both my favorite Ghibli and antifascist movie, because it illustrates the incredible power of a simple "no."

Porco doesn't respect fascists at any level. He doesn't respect their law or power or culture.

And they can't stand it.

This is an old lesbian pin and I relate to it so much. I came out because I didn't want to die wondering what my life could have been. I'm so glad I did 😊

My message to you, on this day.

Find a way.

Any way.

Survive.

You must survive.

Too many enemies would delight in your death.

Don't give them the pleasure.

Find a way.

Guessing not too many people have a quilted pillow inspired by a mashup of Woody Guthrie and the White Rose resistance movement, but happy to say I do

I’ve taken up embroidery this month thanks to a free kit I got at my local library. I need to get a supply of thread and fabric so I can make my own patterns.
@b
lol this is a so on-brand for these goobers.
I found out who b.r. is after finding a sticker on a street sign that set off my nazi-ducktyping radar, then spent some time digging through the internet to find out its origins. Don’t remember if it was the not-equal sign or the ouroboros derivative (or if that’s one image)? As much as I love to see the wide variety of sticker art, also really love seeing the faschit torn. The perennial fight between anti/pro-fa graffiti is a strange thermometer.
