I pushed myself to switch back to running in the mornings, and although I only do a mile on the treadmill most days as I'm trying to come back from the long term covid effects, I'm really delighted about getting it done early rather than having it hanging over me most of the day.

Big-endian and little-endian derive from Jonathan Swift's Gulliver's Travels, in which the Big Endians were a political faction that broke their eggs at the large end, or "the primitive way." They rebelled against the Lilliputian King, who required his subjects, the Little Endians, to break their eggs at the small end.

TIL that Big-endian and little-endian denote whether the number stores the Big-end or little-end first. I had never made that connection before, but deal with endianness on a daily basis.

Amazon are sneaky fuckers.
I cancelled my prime and got some stuff with free shipping to use up my credits, but they sneakily nudged up the shipping date before checkout so it would cost me another $7, and minimized the free shipping date surrounding it with ads for rejoining prime with a "get another week for $1.99" offer.
I spotted it though and set it back to the original date.
