I might be a traitor but I am enjoying ZERO PARADES so far. I yearn for another hit of DE, even if it's cut with flour and baking powder.

I take large doses of magnesium for vestibular migraines and I basically always think of Cuno telling Raphael to hit the mag.

> Magnesium is the salve upon the wretched torn up by the storm of life.

Smiling at this accurate but unexpected wording on @colocataires sales tax refund.
For all of the fear around air-source heatpumps in cold weather: it's -27C outside my house and it's +22C inside. I can't speak to how _efficient_ it's being right now, but it's keeping me warm.

I played EXAPUNKS quite a bit in 2020 and I thought I had finished the game. I came back to it to play again and ... no. I'm just about half way through, looking at level lists online.

I guess I just wandered off.

Anyway. It's good and programming a fake computer is relaxing after a day of programming a real one. (Which, due to virtualization, is also technically fake).

No luck with either the 10Gb card, or a more reasonable 1Gb card which doesn’t even need 12V.

I was beginning to think this port only does CNVi but this dual SATA card shows up. lspci -vvv reckons this port has 1x8GT/s (this card only does 1x5GT/s).

So there _is_ a lane going to it 🤔

Past Aaron, that prick, didn’t wire up the 12V line on this SATA power connector even though there’s 12V available on the input side of the buck convertor 😡
Time to crime

I took apart my Opinel #8 knife, blackened the carbon steel blade, and replaced the pivot with a new piece of brass I machined down to size (2.65mm from 3.17mm).

The brass is not visible when the knife is reassembled but I'll know it's there. I love improvements that no one will see.

This knife continues to bear the scars of being owned by me.
