Made it! Crossed a border, took two different ferries across a Big River which was fun, rode over an incredibly busy motorway bridge in the driving wind which was not.

Enjoyed the fuck out of the cycle route tho. Now I'm celebrating by spending the entire night locked in my hotel room reading Children of Strife and sampling the local wines.

Woke up with at least three bits of my body completely fucked, so plan for today was to cycle half the journey then hop on a train. But the ride was so nice and I got so lost that the only option now is to ride all the way. There is a hole in my leggings and both of my knees are angry, but I just demolished a massive schnitzel and two cokes so let’s fucking go.

...you would think I would deserve more of a mention than an also-ran as part of a list.

I know this was just a dream... but I dream about my ex a lot; none of those dreams are happy ones, and they feed into my personal and professional (and hobbyist) lives too, where I often feel like little more than a footnote.

I'm probably not going to actually break into her house to breathe in her scent in the middle of the night and then mine that for blog content, but still.
