I'm #mum of three kids, most of the time single-parenting. I love life-long learning and can't imagine ever stopping to learn something new every day.
Currently dabbling in #gamedev, #sailing, doing a #PhD. Occasionally #3dprinting, messing with #RPi and electronics and #sewing.

And they are done. I run out of yarn during the second one, so hat to frog the first and messed up the counting, so there are not slightly different in length. But the recipient loves them anyway.
Reminder to myself: I dont like knitting flat if the actual thing is round.

And so it begins.
It being fingerless gloves. And I remembered too late that I prefer lace over cables, but here we are. Cables it is.

I am finally writing the actual story for my little game. It's coming together! I only need to do little tweeks to the gameplay and finish putting all the dialogue in.

Slight distraction today, because we got snow! Too cold to build a snowman and not quite enough to go sledding, but sooo pretty.
I also got a few city views that will be become postcards in my game.

Progress: I now have the basics of a dialogue system for "Postcards from Saxony". I can even do options! I guess I have no excuse to now work on how the game should actually progress...

Postcards from Saxony is coming along nicely. The market scene is set up. Next up are the interactions with the vendors.

I am making a garden.
I was looking for a very chill, low level interactive element for my website and I have (for now) settled on this plant idea. By clicking on the brown patches, the plant growth is started. Different plants have different growth rates.
Next up is making nice graphics.

The pull switch in the bathroom broke. These switches work similar to clicky pens, so there is a weirdly shaped cylindrical shape at the center. Which does break. It's is tiny, there are no replacement parts, I would have to buy a whole new switch.
This is what 3d printing is great for. I spent some time learning the basics of openScad and after some test prints had a working part. Saved me 8 quid and the environment some rubbish.

I found this lego key ring on printables, but since the ring to attach the key to is flat, it didnt work for our key rack. So I looked through the openscad file and changed the code to turn the ring by 90 degrees and adjusted the size. Voila, Working lego key ring!
