Another 90% attic / 10% “the rest” job — adding a room ceiling fan. Done!
Range between 19F and 78F in the same half-week? Ok.
Spent half of yesterday and basically all of today replacing the range hood with my dad. Involved adding a new outlet inside the cabinet (old one was hardwired) and running its ground wire up to tap into one in the attic (that eventually, like any good ground wire, contacts a water pipe in the basement). The attic was our fourth approach to adding the ground. What a job! 😅
Late in the day, but in the absence of being able to make a pie today, I’ll share a couple I made last month and my second favorite pie plate.
In central VA at my parents’. Yesterday it was about 80F out, sunglasses, sun hat, warmest I’ve been in half a year. Today though.
See that little glass bubble at the top of the tower? If you ever want to hear what I think is an interesting story, buy me a drink sometime and I’ll tell you about the fifteen minutes I spent up there in private conversation with billionaire Pavel Durov.
Snowshoed a stretch of the PCT today, three miles each way. On the way back we counted ‘em — just under 40 trees across the trail, and just under half of those big enough to require rolling over the top, crawling on all fours under, or boosting each other atop. Which means we crossed nearly 80 trees. Not sure if due to federal cutbacks or what (it’s the Mount Hood National Wilderness). Typically these would at least be cut through if not dragged aside. Here’s the roots of one of the bigger ones.
The upgrade nag is getting more verbose...
My Numbers app on my phone auto-updated to a state that won’t open all of the .numbers files it could before (ask me how I found out!) *and* it’s flipping me off? C’mon.
