🌿 A Wild Oolong from Shizuoka’s Mountains 🌿
Discover with us Atsumi Tea Garden’s rare oolong, handcrafted from wild zairai plants in Shizuoka’s misty highlands.
Cool nights and morning fog nurture its floral aroma and toasted depth, while Ryota Atsumi’s artisanal touch preserves its untamed essence.
This pan-fired first flush (2025) is a sip of the slopes: wild, vibrant, and uniquely #Japanese . We already tasted it and fell in love with it!

The first breaths of spring in #Japan are carried by its #teas : each leaf telling a story of tradition, craftsmanship, and the land it comes from.
We’re thrilled to introduce our new arrivals!

Hiire #Sencha : a roasted green tea, fragrant and aromatic, perfect for those who love depth in their cup.

#Kabusecha Okumidori by Sueyoshi Tea: a rare, shade-grown tea from Kagoshima, offering a sweet, umami-rich experience.

Organic Black & Oolong Teas: bold, complex, and cultivated with care.

At Ikiya #Tearoom, we carefully select unique ceramics and tea accessories from all over #Japan . We personally visits producers and workshops, study their techniques, and choose pieces that represent the highest level of craftsmanship.

Today, we feature a Hagi ceramic #tea cup/glass, made by Master Kunisuke Nakahara (中原 國輔). Hagi-yaki (萩焼) is a Japanese pottery tradition originating from Hagi in Yamaguchi Prefecture, with a history of over 400 years.

For our first official #SilentSunday on the #Fediverse, we would like to take you to the wonderful Yoshimine-dera in #Kyoto, where we took this picture last year in June, during the hydrangea season. Less well-known than other temples, it overlooks Kyoto from the west, on the opposite side from Kiyomizu-dera, which is much more famous (and crowded).
We had the privilege to visit it during different seasons, and enjoy its silence, its history and its amazing view. A must-see if you’re in Kyoto.

We are #Ikiya and we are finally on #Mastodon and the #Fediverse !

We are a small #Japanese shop located in Treviso, near Venice, and we focus on bringing to Italy a selection of Japanese teas (such as #matcha), ingredients for your recipes, kimono and haori, handmade pottery and much more.

We would like to start leaving mainstream social media for good to connect with our customers in a different way, and this is our first step towards a better communication.

Happy to be here!
