Back from #DrupalDevDays in Athens after a few days in Thessaloniki, and bus and train through the Balkans.
I love having DevDays and Camps in diverse places because by going there by land and ferry means ending up in places I wouldn't seek out otherwise.
I certainly wouldn't have ended up in a beer garden in Craiova with a 1 May barbeque otherwise.
Looks like somebody is trying to win a DrupalCon ticket...

I am sure the @drupalassoc belated messaging explaining why they chose to go ahead with yet another DrupalCon NA in the USA after years of pleading not to will come to reassure many. Maybe some will take reassurance that they can go to other, non DrupalCon, events, instead?

@drupalassoc I get that it is a tough situation, but let me tell you, there are a good number of good people who are feeling quite betrayed right now. Some trans folks in the community who’ve contributed a lot over the years are feeling *VERY* disillusioned and feeling like they’ve been treated like props that are now too inconvenient.
I’m hoping the entire DA board, and both the BDFL and CEO of the DA included, hear this feedback from folks and actually *sit* with it.
@rachel We have already let Association staff know that @palantir will not be a sponsor of #DrupalCon North America 2027 as long as it is held in Florida or any other state that restricts LGBTQ+ rights.
We have and will continue to support the local Florida #Drupal community and DrupalCamp Florida.
Clarification: It's not about registering a drupal.org account. It's about submitting a session for DrupalCon Europe
Sometimes it's all so tedious... #Drupal is an open-source software. It's 2026.
And the only options for social media accounts on the registration form are for closed-source, surveillance capitalism. No option to add my mastodon account

Wir haben den Barrierefreiheits-Talk vom #39c3 auseinandergenommen, denn er war weder gut noch lehrreich.
Er enthielt Inspiration Exploitation, extrem unsaubere und fehlerhafte Ausführungen zu den WCAG, illegale und behinderten Schadende Rätschläge, und einen gänzlich fehlenden Blick für die Systematik.
Insgesamt war er leider dem CCC in keinster Weise würdig. Leider ist er innerhalb der letzten Stunden zu einem der meistgesehenen Talks zum Thema überhaupt geworden.
