One of the joys of making stuff is the ability to gradually improve a tool. 3 years ago we needed a counter-height table for a party. Couldn't find it online, but I cobbled together something workable if we covered it with a table cloth. Then I added hinges (foldable for compact storage). Now I've added sliding locks (so set up no longer requires a screw driver), and 8mm steel bars to improve stability. Next year maybe I'll finally waterproof the top!
Halloween prep continues! This is one of my favorite props, made a few years ago for our "Nature's Reclamation" theme. This year they're making an appearance in the woodsy area of our "Witchcraft" theme.
I don't know, it's one of the few props I've made that I feel could just stand alone as a display sculpture (though I would want to paint the roots to better match the flower's stem).

Halloween party preparations are well underway
The roofers took up our entire street's parking for almost a month longer than advertised, so today I'm making apology cookies (salted brown butter chocolate chip) for my neighbors. Of course I've had to eat a few for quality control purposes!
