I've been using Inkscape for over 10 years. If I had been using Illustrator for 10 years I would have paid Adobe over $2,500 in "rental" fees for a subscription that stops as soon as I stop paying.
Instead I started paying $5 a month to Inkscape to help make sure we can all use it for free for as long as we want.
This past week I had the pleasure of co-presenting and hosting a workshop to build a passwordless authentication solution (using Passkeys) with Amazon Cognito!
Extremely excited to see where the authentication space is going (finally). Time to start getting authorization right...

Unfortunately, this gets barely enough coverage and many people don't even know this is happening. The ongoing Darfur genocide in Sudan has been happening since 2003. It's estimated as high as 400,000 people have been murdered from the Fur, Masalit and Zaghawa ethnic groups and over 3 million total victims. Majority of these deaths took place between 2003 to 2008. Fighting has broke out again this year.
How is this still happening? Why?
