Can we infer citywide traffic speeds without sensors or proprietary data?
In our #research, we explore an environment-driven approach to #traffic speed classification using #OpenStreetMap road context and Street View Imagery. By focusing on speed classes, the framework supports spatial completion across an entire urban network, including data-sparse areas.
Tested on #Berlin with OSM data quality assessed via the ohsome dashboard.
Millions are missing from #population data.
New #AI and #satellite #mapping methods are changing that - faster, fairer, and more local than ever. 🌍📊

I know a lot of European companies are reconsidering their software infrastructure choices these days, if that infrastructure is based in the US.
It's super weird that we've ended in this situation, but here we are.
Especially here in Denmark, where we have to internalize the fact that the very top of the political elite in the US, including the president, is actively threatening to invade part of Danish territory.
I've worked with cloud infrastructure for 10+ years at this point. As a small act of resistance, I'd like to offer free guidance to companies wishing to move their infra away from the US, and talk about non-US alternatives.
Reach out if that is something you'd like to do: [email protected]
PS: I hope this insanity will be upended sooner rather than later, one way or another. So we can stop wasting time and energy on stupid stuff like this and start working together, globally, again.

Pro tip for overturemaps building footprint downloads: While the official data download can be tricky, explore.overturemaps.org is a handy alternative (though limited to zoom 15). Need to check multiple areas? Here's a QGIS field calculator hack:
'https://explore.overturemaps.org/#15/' || to_string(y(centroid($geometry)), 5) || '/' || to_string(x(centroid($geometry)), 5)
This generates clickable URLs for each grid cell! 🗺️ #QGIS #OpenData #overturemaps

ZetaJS: Combining Writer & Calc
We’ve added a great new Vue.js-3 ZetaJS demo (source)! It showcases word processing and spreadsheets inside a single web app. Calc is being used as a data source for an HTML app, filling letter templates in Writer. You can even upload custom data spreadsheets or document templates! And have you seen the nice Writer toolbar, all done with Vue.js?
