Wondering why my USB hub keeps causing devices to reset.

5V rail is swinging around between 2V and 7V with no rhyme or reason even when devices are idle.

This stupid hub/charger thing probably has an entire 32-bit computer in it but it can't fucking bother to have a working 5V regulator. smh.

Hey you can use Velcro strips to keep your floppy multi monitor setup aligned.
awwwwwwwww, come on.
My finest work yet.

I used to keep track of shared expenses regular style, with a google sheet.

Later, a jank bash script a friend wrote that patched a file in a git repo...

that became a jank web app...

Now reincarnating it once again with an anonymous invite-based auth scheme.

The front end is static.

The back end is a #matrix server and an IdP.

Not sure if the room state is intended to be abused like this?

Kinda bummed though because it turns out matrix e2e encryption doesn't cover room state.

PITTSBURGH 6-1/2" Flush Cut Saw from Harbor Freight.

This saw is $9. It used to be $7. Now it's $9. It's still worth three times that, to me at least.

I go back and forth between using it to fine woodwork, and hacking 5" tree branches off. It doesn't matter, the saw is impervious to abuse. This one is two or three years old and gets used all the time. It's still crazy sharp.

It cuts a two-by-four in under 30 seconds easy.

I don't have much experience with steel fabrication but I had assumed there were basically two ways people cut it, angle grinder or band saw. (slow, slower)

Never for a second considered using a circular saw.

Guess what, you can use a circular saw.

This blade is $40, you can make mirror clean cuts in 3/8" steel plate, with your circular saw.

Main drawback is that it sprays flamin hot razor sharp chips everywhere and maximum PPE is not optional.

Made this little box so I can rip four CDs at the same time without covering ten square feet of desk space with cables and USB hubs.
