Hello this is a snippet of a bittersweet piece of #prose about my brother.

♡

I don't believe I will ever see his face again - not all at once or on the same heart, anyway
But I will see his nose in cashiers at the supermarket
I will see his smile in bus drivers and waiters
I will see his eyes in farmers and artists
I will see his cowlicks in the clients in my salon chair
And I will miss the whole flower
But the petals are so pretty,
And lay so softly around my mirror

A: The Munsee are a subtribe of the Lenape people who, led by Buckongahelas, arrived in the area in the 1790s. They founded several villages, including one known as Munsee Town, along the White River. The trading post was later renamed Muncietown, then shortend to Muncie, to make the new city more inviting to white potential residents.

Happy anniversary to the man who has given me so much life.
Because of you, I can laugh when I'm upset, I am always held when I grieve, and I am confident enough to celebrate accomplishments.
Going forward we will probably mostly celebrate our wedding anniversary. Today, we have been married 32 days, and I have never been so grateful to call someone my partner.
