Yes, the image in today's tweet from DHS is fascist propaganda, very similar to fascist propaganda from Nazi Germany in the 1930s.

And when you share it unmodified ... you're amplifying fascist propaganda. Why are you doing that?

It's easy not to share fascist propaganda -- just don't share the image. Or, if you think it's important for people to see it, then take the time to deface it first -- a big red X over it, or "FASCIST PROPAGANDA" in big red letters to get the point across.

every time someone invokes mom and pop landlords to argue against eviction protections, I want to scream: when do we talk about the mom and pop tenants? when is it time to care about the mom and pop tenants that landlords are throwing out on the street?

The Democrats want to force the choice of Newsom or Emanuel on us. Both of them are cruel toads of men who think if the Democrats can only murder enough trans people, they can win over the hearts of the ghouls in the electorate.

Periodic reminder:

Any and all use fees for government services are a regressive tax on the poor. This includes things like road tolls, car registration, fines, car inspections, on and on and on.

Anytime it's the same price for everyone, it's a major part of the income of someone in poverty, or even driving them deeper into debt, and negligible pocket change for someone wealthy.

Even allowing for someone to fill out paperwork for a fee waver means that they're having to pay the fee in one of the most scarce resources of someone in poverty - time and energy. Just make the damn things free and pay for them with progressive income and wealth taxes.

SF drivers already barely stop at crosswalks and lights now, pushing pedestrians into navigating the other flow of traffic just to cross a street most days. The entitlement is through the roof.
