So basically, the police chief fabricated charges to raid and seize everything from the local newspaper. Rights were violated and the elderly co-owner of the newspaper died of a heart attack after arguing with the police who were destroying her life. All because of a tyrant cop with nothing better to do but abuse his power.
Everyone hops on board with the police chief: a sheriff, multiple county attorneys, and a judge.
The fucking audacity.
"In my 40 years of suing the police I have never seen that level of deliberate cruelty"
Detectives grilled Thomas Perez Jr. for 17 hours, deprived him of medications and threatened to have his dog killed if he didn’t confess to killing his father, who was actually alive.
Just want to point out to folks that both the bureau chief and the division chief of the Maricopa County Attorney's Office were okay with this dishonest prosecutor charging people with felonies based on fabricated information. The prosecutor was fired, and the two chiefs resigned after the story blew up.
Still unclear: Why was the Gilbert Police Department involved? 🤔
