Had a full day today. First went to the hairdresser, then work and afterwards still went out #running. It definitely helps me to have a training plan. I feel kind of calm now. I like it when just a few people are about and the day’s hustle and bustle is done.
A work break next to a patch of wildflowers really does the trick of calming me down. Watching bumblebees working the flowers is oddly beautiful. #bloomscrolling

Pasting a huge AI generated explanation to a problem in an issue or pull-request is nothing but RUDE. Don't do it. You look stupid and the receivers of that feel insulted.

We are humans. We communicate like humans. Fine, use the tools you like, but don't insult us.

I’m trying to be more consistent with #running again. It’s doing me a world of good.

It’s something to do. It’s beneficial to my cardiopulmonary system and blood pressure. I’m outside. And don’t forget the psychological effects. Experiencing that I’m capable of doing some things others would call crazy even when I’m at the end of everything is… a weirdly pleasant feeling. I hope it lasts. I feel I deserve brighter days, love and connection.

Collected myself today and overcame the doubts, to put in a long run. Spontaneously changed the planned route to end at a stretch of beach where I went in thigh-high and used the water as a kind of regeneration tank. It was wonderful – and I’m a little bit proud of myself for even thinking of doing something nice for myself.

During #running I was rewarded with a moment of total bliss. Clear blue sky, sun shining, dandelion floaties in the air and this song playing: https://song.link/i/1459928705

Managed to get a run in today. Now off to work. There’s work and #running, that’s all I have now. I guess it’s alright.

I’ve tested my third #Suunto #running watch now. The hardware is amazing. But they just don’t get anything about their software in line. They seem to have painted themselves into a corner they are institutionally incapable of escaping. Even the most basic watch functionality (in 2026) like vibrate-only alarms is missing. The only one that has all that, lacks SuuntoPlus, which enables, well, everything else.

They also extensively use LLM-generated text in customer support. I’m done with Suunto.

Been out #running today. It feels right, like I’m supposed to do that.
Six weeks of no #running do leave their mark. But I’m happy to be out and about again, even if other parts of my life are still a mess. I’m slowly rebuilding from the emotional debris scattered all around me. And for some reason I’m totally into my new deodorant, which smells like cherry blossoms. That’s all for now. Thank you for still being here.
While #running today, I tested a #Garmin Forerunner 256S, recording the same run than my #Coros Pace 3. On-watch details are nice, watch UI too busy for my taste, the buttons are cumbersome to use but Garmin Connect… what a freaking mess. It’s like if Microsoft was developing a cross-platform mobile app. It’s the Windows of running apps, only #Polar competes in terms of datedness. It works, does what it says on the tin, technically, but it sucks all the joy out of using it to dive into the data.
