Surprise! Version 0.8.1 of the What is the Apple IIGS? Launcher is released to coincide with the new Apple II event, https://init-hello.org!

Now with colour menus, Time Pilot and some further optimisations and bug fixes, you can download it from https://www.ninjaforce.com.

During KFest 2025, I’m very happy to announce that v0.8 of the What is the Apple IIGS? Launcher is finally available.

Ever wanted a convenient way to play all commercial IIGS games with little fuss? Like Total Replay but includes every genre of IIGS specific game as well as some demo examples pushing the G and the S?

If you’ve got a storage device that supports 7 smart port devices and a IIGS with 1.25meg of RAM, you’re in luck! Go straight to https://ninjaforce.com/html/news.html to download.

It's March 31 here in Australia. Still makes #marchintosh , right? I've spent the last two months of my spare time to collate as much colour software (mostly games and eduwares) that work correctly in the somewhat hampered Mac Colour Classic – to get the most out of that machine and show off it's nicer hardware qualities (that 10" Trinitron screen is gorgeous). I thought others might find this useful in showcasing the best software available for the Colour Classic: https://tinyurl.com/4wmhv8mn

My MOOF disk image format (for copy protected Mac floppies) has been gaining acceptance. MAME added support a couple months back and now Floppy Emu supports it for connecting up to your real Mac.

And I'm sure that the recent gains are in huge part due to @a2_4am doing his relentless preservation thing with his moof-a-day.

If you are interested in the MOOF spec for adding support to your own project, you can find it here.
