Living with my partner and our child in the south of Sweden. I like books and my garden, knitting and crocheting. Trying to add sewing to that. A little bit of geek and a dash of gamer but I don't get obsessed (*wink*). Star Trek AND Star Wars, Lord of the Rings AND The Wheel of Time.

I used to blog freely and put myself out there, but there were a few not-so-nice incidents and since then I mostly lurk everywhere, afraid to voice my opinions. It's boring, so let's try to do better.

For years now, daughter has been talking about wanting us to get a dog. I've always been a cat person but lately the idea has grown on me. I've seen the way she lights up around dogs. We have three cats, so still not sure. We've borrowed a bunch of books from the library to study, to be better prepared if we ever, and checked what courses are available around here. She wants a golden retriever. Or, no, she WANTS a border collie but understands we can't give it what it needs. #pets #dogs

Outsourcing var ett misstag. Offentlig sektor såväl som företag behöver ha _egen_ utvecklingspersonal.

Självklart ska det som utvecklas sedan göras som öppen källkod - så att onödigt dubbelarbete undviks och vi får en naturlig likriktning där bästa lösningarna sprids.

Oh honey, no one is telling children they're trans. Trust me. Everyone is telling children that they're cis, repeatedly, hard, insistently, like a chorus of total negation. If a kid manages to figure out that they're trans in spite of every fucking thing in the world telling them they aren't trans, it wasn't because someone told them they were trans. The most they likely ever heard, and it's not all that likely, is that it's okay to be trans.

But you know that already. You don't want anyone to stop telling children they're trans, because no one does that. What you want is for it not to be okay to be trans.

En favorit i repris till min mor idag från Unicefs gåvoshop. Själv fick jag en kram(!) från min dotter - det jag törstar allra mest efter sedan hon plötsligt bara tog emot kramar från kompisar och sina morföräldrar. #morsdag

Skulle kontakta vårdcentral och be om kuratorskontakt. En del saker är jobbiga just nu och jag är väldigt trött. Min vc har en idiotapp som grindvakt där man ska fylla i formulär för det (singular) besvär man söker för. Jag valde nu formuläret "Psykiska besvär": sjuttifnutton frågor. Tvungen att hoppa fram och tillbaka pga otydlighet kring vad som skulle vara kommande frågor. Har därför inte sökt hjälp, på grund av det jag ville söka hjälp för.

Jo, Agnes. Det har du faktiskt. Kanske inte personligen ansikte mot ansikte. Men ditt drev mot ”translobbyn” som du kallar det, ditt retweetande av transfobi av bl.a högerextrema, och annat. Det är att bära sig illa mot transpersoner. Fast du inte ser dem i ögonen när du gör det.

Guess what I learned today?

At exactly 7:24 in the morning, the sunlight this time of year is at an angle such that it streams across a chimney roof some distance away and casts this shadow on my window. 👤🪟

My third story window.

Please imagine the level at which my brain is (or is not) functioning at 7:24 in the morning. Then imagine my reaction.

Fortunately, this did NOT result in a load of buckshot being blasted through these mini blinds and in the general direction of a building 20 yards away. 😂

@danirabbit I've had the discussion so many times that grades are nothing but a snapshot of your current knowledge of often very specific points at the point in time of taking the exam.

Luckily, knowledge isn't static and you are allowed to get better, learn, adapt and even break with convention at times. Our current way of imparting and testing for knowledge is deeply flawed in my opinion.
