I'm going to commit coffee heresy and say that the Moka Pot is better than the Aeropress for travel. No need to bring filters or a water boiler, and the coffee it makes is just as good. I've brought the Aeropress and forgot my filters too many times. It also doesn't pack that well because of it's awkward shape. I guess that's why they want you to buy the Go. The only downside of the Moka Pot is that you have to wait for it to cool down before you can clean it.

You know, this podcast felt timely. C.S. Lewis's That Hideous Strength may not be the most accessible book, but he addresses the spirit of 'progress' and 'innovation' that I see used to justify AI. I won't say AI doesn't have uses, but the problems we need to solve don't need more tech, they need more compassion and generosity and kindness. It's just the same old story of silicon valley greed. This episode of John Oliver really hit home. Haven't watched him in a while but he seemed genuinely passionate and how could one not be? It's difficult to share/read the story about a teen who was guided to suicide by ChatGPT and not get emotional. This tech is literally killing us.

Google's proposed workaround for sideloading unverified apps requires 9 steps, a mandatory 24-hour waiting period, and is delivered through Google Play Services, not the Android OS. Google can modify or remove it at any time without user consent. It hasn't shipped in any beta.

Am I surprised? No. Would this be awful? Absolutely.
