the version in the trial play (likely untrue) where lestat put himself into a vampire coma right outside of paris and marius is i guess just Lying In Wait is funny to me though

i feel like if lestat spent more than three days hanging around nicki, armand and the theater there's no way gabrielle was hanging around for that + since they already put sam reid in the louvre scene surely we're not going to have a second scene of armand telling the audience about his past but with louis swapped out for gabrielle this time? so i'm guessing he didn't tell lestat shit about marius

one consistent thing about me is i will watch two seasons of a tv show and then read a 10+ book series about it i guess

the anne rice name drop on literally page 1 was funny though

also started re-reading the first of the true blood/sookie stackhouse books and in comparison the vampire chronicles really are the height of literature

kind of a shame that it definitely won't be included in the show's inevitable singular armand backstory episode bc the whole thing does read as very Cinematic
