India visa shenanigans episode 436:
I managed to get a last minute appointment for yesterday through a different website menu. Car, train, tube, walk for 1.5 hours, queue for 1.5 hours, only to be told that my appointment isn’t in the system, even though I have a printout of the appointment, from the system! Then I’m told they can’t reschedule an appointment that’s not in the system. 5 hour round trip for nothing. Now need to find another appointment, the next one currently 29-Dec! #india #visa

Local news: The Parish Council have decided to replace the Christmas fireworks with music for the annual Christmas Market! Apparently it’s the will of the people or something.
