On second thought it's rather italic. **statement** is a bold statement.
It should be considered common sense that there are no good reasons remaining to have an account on X. But people still believe that their posts on X generate engagement or awareness, as they ignore the trash posted along with their content. They worry about giving up on their followers, but bots have no feelings.
