Bryan CantrillI passed this billboard on the 101 last night, and I don't know that Silicon Valley history has ever repeated such a small detail so crisply: in the 1990s, Informix (RIP!) famously bought the billboard outside of Oracle's headquarters on the 101 and used it to taunt their competitor. Of note: "You just passed Redwood Shores; so did we." And I am dying to know if SingleStore has a 55-year-old VP of Marketing with a sense of history -- or the opposite.
