Quick question, especially for those of us most keen to indulge in those sweet, sweet company provided encouraged mandated Claude, Gemini, or ChatGPT subscriptions: you do remember the race to "pivot to the cloud", right? How everything had to be moved to AWS or Azure or whatnot yesterday, or we would all be left behind?
And you also remember how, a few years down the line, after we'd done exactly as asked, an alarmed CFO would come down on us urging to slash those goddamn AWS bills by half, or else? All the while somehow keeping the same level of production and quality with the on-premise infra gone for good and the team "right-sized" by 10~20%? "Doing more with less", all that bullshit?
How the fuck do you think this whole "let's all voluntarily deskill ourselves and set budgets on fire so a text extruder can pretend to do our job for us" thing is supposed to pan out, exactly?

Het opwarmen van in plastic verpakte kant-en-klaarmaaltijden en afhaalmaaltijden in de magnetron of oven kan honderdduizenden micro- en nanoplastic deeltjes vrijgeven. De ViDA-richtlijn maakt rapportage van 1,5 miljard binnenlandse facturen aan de Belastingdienst mogelijk. Moneybird-oprichter Joost Diepenmaat over de risico's van dataconcentratie, doelverbreding en algoritmische controle – en waarom dit debat nu gevoerd moet worden.
De @belastingdienst is van plan de btw voortaan door een Amerikaans bedrijf te laten beheren. Eerst leek het alsof het alleen maar om een softwareproduct ging, maar naar nu blijkt gaat dit geheel geoutsourced worden. Dit had niemand door alleen. Daarom hier stukje met uitleg:

De belastingdienst is van plan om de BTW uit te besteden aan een Amerikaans bedrijf, wat echt waanzinnig is. Op 19 maart is er een commissievergadering in de Tweede Kamer hierover, en ik hoop van harte dat men bij zinnen komt. In de discussie over de btw-situatie de afgelopen jaren ging het eigenlijk alleen over dat de belastingdienst Amerikaanse software ging gebruiken. Lang was onduidelijk dat deze software (en de bijbehorende servers) ook geheel beheerd zouden gaan worden door Amerikanen.
