University of Toronto 2026 Three Minute Thesis (3MT): Michael Poon (Finalist)
YouTubeIn my quantum mechanics class, I often found myself having to make excuses for things non-relativistic quantum mechanics can't explain accurately. So in the last lecture today, I gave the students a taste of quantum field theory. I suspect that went a little over their heads but maybe it sparked some interest.
I certainly love a good source code leak!

If you're like me and anxiously awaiting the canoeing season, I've got some good news: I brought my #Algonquin @iceoutbot back to life! Follow it for hourly updates on the ice status of lakes in Algonquin Park. #ontario #onstorm
(Sorry to those south of the border! I don't have a bot to get your ICE out.)
By the way, the complexity of a simple switch is quite something...
I just gave an interview with a journalist raising concerns about Kessler Syndrom and complaining about megaconstellations in general. And less than 5 minutes later, I see a post about a starlink satellite being involved in a "fragment creation event".
@sundogplanets
Another small victory! I've successfully replaced a broken switch in my car. I had to take apart the entire door panel for that. Thank you random person who posted a video on how to do that on youtube. And thank you aliexpress for sending me a very cheap spare part for my 17 year old car.
