A curious individual
I tried to register in the wait list of Google's new AI, Bard. It said my country wasn't supported. What? I feel it's a kind of discrimination at best. Why did Google discriminate people based on their residential country for a service?
I had a feeling that AI technologies will divide people's knowledge, have a big gap in the right to use a service, generally based on individual's income or a country's economy. Unfortunately, it's sad but true 😓
I used this book, Beginning Lua Programming, as my first book in learning Lua. I think it's good for a complete beginner like me, easy to follow. Lua's official book is not suitable for me as it expects to have prior knowledge of some programming skills.
Thank you Kurt Jung and Aaron Brown (the two authors) for teaching me! You are my first teachers for Lua.

I wanted to learn a programming language as a hobby, not for profession. I am a complete beginner. The language that I intended to learn should be super easy, lightweight and general purpose (Turing complete). So, I tried C++ and it was too difficult for me. Python or JavaScript could be a good choice but they're still complex and somewhat resource intensive. Finally, I found Lua.
I just began learning Lua a few days ago and it's very easy to catch up.
Any thought and tips?
@simonemargio I have never used Twitter before. I have been using Facebook since 2008 almost on a daily basis. Facebook is the most popular platform where I live. Unfortunately Facebook, like many other Tech companies, is following the same pattern as Twitter and I personally don't like the way they treat their employees. They should have done more professionally. So, I quit FB and join Mastodon. Happy to see you here.
@censelio The same happened in Myanmar where the military junta jailed a Noble peace prize winner, Aung San Suu Kyi, and killed thousands of its own people. Most authoritarian governments are following the same pattern.
