Hiding from artificial intelligence in the age of total surveillance

Grigory Bakunov, a top specialist at one of Russia's largest tech companies, has invented an anti-facial recognition algorithm to conceal people's identities with the help of makeup.

@qyliss @alsternerd I honestly want the smallest and most portable possible model :) 15” is a bit too large for me!
After @qyliss ’s thread on ThinkPad hacking I’ve now wasted^H^H^H^H^H^Hspent a few hours researching and watching YouTube tutorials and I am SO ready to buy a used X230 and to start hacking. Where to find the time, though…
@alsternerd @qyliss Is that true? The X1 Carbon is user upgradeable?
@qyliss Thank you! The X2x0 series looks great, and quite affordable nowadays it seems. I'll start researching!
@qyliss Dang, that’s amazing! Where does one get started? What’s the best/most portable Thinkpad to start hacking on?

Hey Fediverse, anyone using Nextcloud as a Google Drive/Dropbox replacement in a freelance/small studio scenario? How is it working out for you?

Also, I’m not looking to host my own infrastructure, who are the recommended providers in Europe?

I’m back in London after our wonderful wedding in Taipei, and I’ll be for now focusing on work.

I’ll be working on #impossiblespace (our Mastodon instance), but also have availability for #engineering work (#rails, #js) and commercial #photography. Do get in touch!
