Artemis II finally launched yesterday after a series of delays. I made this six weeks ago wondering what a great America might look like. Yesterday Iran's 'authoritarian' government wrote an open letter to the American people saying they don't hold us responsible for what our government is doing to them. While our 'free' government threatens their people with the very weapon we went to war to keep from them.

Lately I’ve been working on monograms from some old books I found. This one is a cipher-style monogram of a ‘Krimson Queen’ hoya in bloom, with the moth that pollinates its flowers at night.

I'm a divorced man with a young daughter. We live on a compound surrounded by family, and there is a tremendous, relentless, and unidentifiable noise in the background. We all love each other. I'm scratching away a living by monetizing words on a page, but work construction on the side. I mostly work construction.

My parents are in their 70s, and Dad gets his paper online. When one tickles him, he prints it out. Every once in a while, I am lucky enough to be present, as he stands in his kitchen and recites it to my mother, without showing anyone the pictures as he reads. It is one of the most endearing and disconnected displays I can think of.
