@geerlingguy why is your website using cloudflare? tsk tsk
@meejah @dangillmor especially when there is so much surveillance related examples today; anti-mask laws, Palantir contracts, surveillance and raids by ICE, etc. take your pick.

The note to make on this post is the domain. Fly is an hosting company so if “AI lets us go faster” and “AI makes bad code but we’re slowing down to make it usable” (paraphrased) is their self-contradictory policy, that puts a question mark on hosting with them

Also, going “many of you will lose your jobs but that’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make” is almost admirable as a douchebag move, but it’s also the norm in tech. There is no class solidarity to speak of in tech.

Using new adaptive-optics techniques, researchers have created ultra-high resolution images of the Sun's corona--and the results are astonishing.

This video shows "coronal rain": loops of magnetic plasma arching out from the Sun, cooling, and flowing back down.

@snazzyq I always liked that mac mini didn't come with an external adapter. kudos to apple for sticking with the design.
@dangillmor afaik the same rule applies here in PA.
@Mer__edith I saw a few google employees comment on hacker news. apparently they count even simple word completions as AI generated code. hype train choo choos on.
