... But you can't use the new menu in LMDE 7 or Linux Mint 22.2. It does not work.

Longtime linux user since ubuntu 7.04... now linuxmint user.
Here is how you can use the old Cinnamon Menu from Linux mint 22.2 or LMDE 7 in the the new released Linux mint 22.3

@linuxmint The start menu only follow Mint-y theme. Mint-L and Mint-X are not fully supported anymore. Please fix it.
@_DigitalWriter_ Linux Mint is very nice distro. However the icons "screen lock, logout and shutdown" CAN NOT be changed to a different 3rd party icon in the new menu. Not even Mint-X. Not good!

I made a customized wallpaper to fit lightdm-greeter in Linux Mint. I only moved the login box to the center of the screen and applied the wallpaper in the login manager. So we can't really call it a theme..
