The PDA never died. We just forgot it was there.

Sometimes I'll be at home and I'll hear a stray computer SFX and wonder if I'm going crazy or if Lofi Girl is just dropping Pavlovian dogwhistles for no reason.
Boston Dynamics trained their robits in a lab and you're telling me they NEED to see inside my house? To use a washing machine? Why would I let these robots from the company with millions in seed money train on my dishwasher again?
@jtx Do yall have documentation or a user manual that the public can read?
anyone here use onenote, personally or professionally? ive yet to find a reason to like it other than some minor integrations with some versions of outlook. please! share why you like it

The fediverse feels surreal

Man, who ever thought that setting up a server using aging and failing hardware would be difficult for someone who's never done it before

Mastodon feels like the future the 1980s promised us. "Oh look, a post from my friend at hacker.space, and what a funny comment from some guy on gaysex.cloud, perhaps I should follow them, they seem witty."

It feels like you could turn a corner and wind up in a tearoom filled with furries discussing existentialism. Across the street are anarchists arguing loudly with socialists about how best to stick it to the capitalists.

Just down the way is a photographer who only takes pictures of bees.
