My wife - a former elementary teacher - and her friend - an art historian - just launched their Kickstarter and I'm genuinely proud of them.

They made a children's art book where a single line runs through twelve real masterpieces - kids follow it and actually look at the art. A lovely way to build art appreciation without it feeling like a lesson.

Yet a surgeon will always use a scalpel. Making this arguments an age thing is dismissive. You want the best design for the tool you need / like, not the most common design for the most common tool.

Here’s a set of features that are not a popular demand: accessibility. Yet it cannot be denied that the existence of these features make a product just plain better.
When you make the best possible product there’s little to no downside in giving users more choice whether they’re asking for it or not.
