Hacker, journalist, privacy. Not necessarily in that order.
It's not burnout, but it's something.
I'm almost officially in mobile Alabama. But I'm spending a few days in the swamps of Louisiana until then. I've always wanted to spend time in atchafalaya, and I finally have a chance.
or follow me because you're a nigerian prince with a very compelling investment opportunity. Real ones only, please.
This includes me. Don't follow me because someone said I'm a good person to know, or because you saw a sticker about me somewhere. Follow me because you're interested in the weird shit that I occasionally spout, or you're interested in wildfires, or privacy, or hacking nonsense.

*takes a deep breath*

Follow Fridays are just as dumb in 2022 as they were in 2008, perhaps even more so. Use the local instance feed + check on people you respect and see who they're having rewarding interactions with. If you want to build a rewarding community that you're a part of, don't follow lists of people who are spoonfed to you.

"but someone approved this years ago"

Guess what, I'm not that person and I care about privacy a lot more than past person.

Don't be afraid to push back on precedents wrt #privacy

Just a heads up. Going to be either really inactive or annoyingly active with pictures of a roadtrip to my 'new' home in Alabama over the next three weeks. Taking two weeks to meander my way down there after thanksgiving.
Follow Fridays were dumb on twitter. They're double dumb here. and next week i'll resume raging against them.
I really wonder what emergency twitter is going to do after everything collapses.
Reminder to Corporate Google Workspace Admins. One of the first things you should do on new workspaces is ensure that google takeout is -disabled-.
