@EugeneMcParland What is the point of starting this conversation? What use does asking people to take responsibility for the actions of others have? Forgive me if I come off as very individualistic, but I don't respect any line of thinking that justifies collective punishment. What is the tangible difference between asking someone to take "responsibility" for a reprehensible act, and accepting "guilt" for it?

@pojntfx @nila I feel like with a bit of tweaking GTK/Adwaita could become a fantastic option for cross platform desktop dev, one which non-Linux people could adopt. It's got the brand longevity, none of the confusing licensing schemes of Qt, without the baggage of having to learn a new language not used anywhere else (Flutter/Dart), and a really attractive design.

@EugeneMcParland This type of racist equating of a person with nation state does nothing but push people away and is worthless in terms of supporting Ukraine. Culture existed in Russia before the 2000s.

Above all, would you say the same thing about people who enjoy artists from many other nations that are doing heinous acts currently?

@404mediaco An extremely misleading headline. It was the Swiss government that ordered Proton to hand over the data which is not up to them to decide. The fact that the article content is paywalled also doesn't help.

@swick Authoritarian religious leaders losing power is not a bad thing on its own. But none of the powers involved have a shred of interest in a free and secular Iran. I hope not many people are genuinely seeking solace from whatever regime the US wants to install.

After finishing 3's main story and a chunk of Future Redeemed I still can't decide if I like Xenoblade or not. Probably gonna finish the whole series before I can give a definitive answer.
