I know there are plenty of mission statements out there, but they often feel too generic. Many values the UEF embraces could just as well be championed by a loose confederation of nation-states.

I'm specifically interested in values that genuinely justify building a close, federal Europe. What makes federalism not just desirable, but necessary?

I'm facilitating a discussion at my local #UEF (Union of European Federalists) chapter and would love your input to prepare. The goal: to define - for ourselves and others - who we are and what we stand for.

As a French Canadian myself, both languages are important to me.

That being said, my goal isn't to be the next "big" platform. I don't really intend to advertise that much. At least for now.

In fact, I might very well end up alone haha, but we'll see what happens.

I'll probably move my account there soon. I still have some configs to do.

Today I published my very last post on Instagram!

It took me some time to prepare this sad moment, but I am happy it's here now.

I shared @_elena great introduction video and wrote in the captions about how the Fediverse is such great place for creatives, artists, hobbyists, tinkerer, writer, art lovers, photographers, blogger, nerds and just everybody. And how one can find interesting people to talk to, original artworks, diverse communities and discover great music and journalism... and all this without annoying ads or stupid algorithms.

💪 I've even (hello non tech person here!) made a little website for my friends with some info and links to help them switch to the Fediverse.

Head's up, Mastodon users: There appears to be a coordinated effort to impersonate relatively high-profile people who have accounts on various instances but who have not used them in a while.

I've gotten several follow notifications - and a couple of DMs - from impersonators of people I know. The bogus accounts have lots of underscores in the handles, and they repost items from the past, sometimes years old. If you spot this, please report, do not engage, and then block.

@ghrasko and while this seems to be right from #anthropic side, this also points out that AI model vendors could highly affect in the background how their models behave, what answers they provide - for evil or for good.
