@gfxstrand nvk on reactos when? I got it to work on real hardware last week (until you plug in an usb drive, then it bsods)
@gob Not likely soon. They're still running the XP graphics driver model.
@gob Or maybe they're up to Vista now. I need at least WDDM2.
@gfxstrand Not really asking seriously, although I suspect someone could do something similar as to what's going on with Haiku, porting the nv out-of-tree driver ?
@gfxstrand @gob On a more serious note, is there any chance the NVK on Nvidia open kernel module could make it into upstream Mesa? Turnip supports two kernel drivers successfully and it would be great if we could test NVK without rebooting.
@k0bin @gob Once code exists, sure. There's the Haiku efforts and there's also someone in the Nouveau community who's hacking on it. IDK when either will materialize in an upstreamable state but I'm not opposed to carrying the code.
@gfxstrand Is this one of the mobile chipsets? I'm guessing this is for NVK bring-up on more card types?
@keen456 Yup. TX1 is mobile Maxwell. It's a similar chip to what's used in the Switch.
