Apparently SequoiaPGP, at least the version I have from the Debian repos, does not support symmetric encryption without the use of a public key, and I can't find any mention of that functionality on their website, so it won't be included in my testing. Anyway, here's a couple of charts.

It's Friday so I finally got time to sit down and do some of these benchmarks for comparing #GPG and #AGE for #encryption speed. Here's the results so far on an uncompressed .tar file, and an already compressed .tar.zst file. Gonna try to add SequoiaPGP to the list, if I can figure out how to do symmetric/password encryption with it.

Just set a brand spanking new #Windows 11 VM and installed the March update (KB5086672), and now powershell is broken. Literally all I've done is install Windows, Firefox, the virtio drivers and some Windows updates. Everything was fine until I installed the March update.

So it turns out this is Ranni's actual body. I found the lore in my first play-thru explaining that she modeled the doll she inhabits after the snow witch Renna who served as her mentor, but I missed the note about this being her real body. So not only is the "body" you talk to now just a doll, but it doesn't even look like her.

Some old #AlfredHitchcock DVDs I'm ripping. The movies are all from the 20s and 30s so they're black and white, but they actually have a hint of green to them. So besides ripping the discs to ISOs, when I transcode them with Handbrake I'm actually converting them to proper grayscale which seems to brighten and sharpen them up slightly.

Also put the ErsatzTV web interface behind an Apache reverse proxy with some basic HTTP auth, and set up a DNS rewrite to make sure that site is what gets loaded. It's only accessible via my LAN, but there's no authentication options for the ErsatzTV web interface itself, that I can find, so I figure this stops visitors, rogue apps or maybe even malware from snooping around where they don't belong. After getting this set up, I deleted the firewall rule that opened port 8409 just to be safe.
