Using Mastodon in your browser sucks because you have no idea where you have left off reading and obviously it does not sync with your other devices.
Using Metatext fixes this, but displaying content is not something it does well. Trying to display the image from an XKCDbot in my feed completely fails. I tried 3 other XKCD bots and all are displayed like crap in different ways.
For now I will happily go back to Twitter and give the Fediverse some time to mature
