Oh wow, this is awesome! An ASCII wireframe editor that’s quick and fun to use, and you can also grab what you make as Markdown. Love it!

"Relieved, and then immediately guilty about the relief, and then annoyed at myself for feeling guilty about something that is, by any rational measure, a completely reasonable thing to do."
Honest piece on the ethics of AI code tools now that they're actually good. It's easy to opt out of something that doesn't work. It's a lot harder when your industry is making it a requirement and you still need to pay rent.

18 years ago today I released MindNode. I was so anxious I was checking my email on WAP (basically the ancient version of mobile internet) whenever I left the house, just in case something broke. 😊
It didn't. And somehow, 18 years later, MindNode is still here and supporting a small independent team without outside funding, still shaped by the people who use it every day.
Thank you for 18 years. 🎉

@larsmb @genegoykhman Go read my favourite book series of all time: Terra Ignota by @adapalmer
You’re welcome. 😄
I really want more utopian scifi and fantasy. (In the style of The Culture, or even The Polity.)
Why would I want to read more dystopian books? I've got a perfectly working news feed.

at university i realized that i rarely reread the mountain of notes i took.
the act of taking notes was sufficient. writing by hand is slow. that slowness forces you to process the info well enough to summarize it.
i was lucky to have a laptop early and for a while tried using it for notes and i was fast enough to transcribe every word. even though typing is physical, i didn’t need to summarize at all. i remembered nothing, and pretty quickly went back to my notebooks and fountain pens.
