There is a petition on the UK Parliament website to legally recognise nonbinary as a gender – which would include an X marker on UK passports for nonbinary people.

The deadline to sign is March 2026 and at the time of writing only 213 people have signed.

Let's show them the power of the Fediverse. At 100,000 signatures, the petition will be debated in Parliament.

Ok, getting somewhere. Got OTA updates working by creating a “WHY2025-open” wifi network. That then installs a few more apps.
Got the USB UART driver working on the Mac, and can read logs from the badge. But a firmware install fails as it can’t initialise (I guess reset the board). “send reset” does nothing, but both worked from the Pi.

4 different computers, 5 different usb cables, 2 badges and finally I found a combination that works with the Why badge. Can’t get it to work from my Mac, Windows 11 desktop, Ubuntu desktop. Only from a Pi running Rasbian would talk to it.
And now after flashing it, it’s exactly the same!
I’m gonna come back to this another time, being at the absolute bleeding edge of hardware and software is too frustrating for me.
