I thought I’d imagined this in the #SkyAtlantic ‘Asian-noodle-bar’ trail before #TheLastOfUs Ep4… have they been doing stuff like this or just in the round neon sign all this time?! Am I just late to the party?

20. What got me into TTRPGs? Fighting Fantasy. I’d come across FF at my local library and was instantly hooked. Then, every Sunday my Mum would go and buy the papers from the local John Menzies (properly pronounced ‘Ming-us’, btw), and would get a comic for me (this is how I got into 2000AD, too). One day she saw WD52 on the shelf (1st one sold in mainstream) and taken by the ‘solo fantasy game’ tag, bought it for me. Bit of a risqué cover - but ‘what is dungeons & dragons’ led me onto TTRPGs!
8. Favourite TTRPG for its art has to be the original Dragon Warriors, when they were paperback Fighting Fantasy sized books with art by Leo Hartas and Bob Harvey. I still picture the two-headed troll whenever I think of that monster, and it has the best falling damage table ever!
