Made some housekeeping tweaks to my first officially-published WordPress plugin:
- Added a quick demo GIF to show what it does
- Renamed the plugin and updated the tags (hopefully clearer now)
The plugin is a little QoL addition to WP that I find invaluable. Would love to hear if anyone else finds it useful!
Woohoo! VSCode can connect to FreeBSD remotes.
Turns out you need to manually install node and npm on the remote after enabling Linux compatibility. That was the missing step!

Published my first official WordPress plugin! Sweaty palms big time 😅
It's just a simple plugin that adds a "Quick edit by ID" field to the admin bar. I use it all the time and wanted to share it out there.
I really like posting on my blog, but boy do those posts take a lot of time to write.

Moving back to plain text files (Git-backed markdown) instead of using a self-hosted Bookstack instance for my personal memory/wiki has been very rewarding. The data feels much safer with less moving parts, and I've expanded the collection dramatically now that I can store code files in there too. Been meaning to write about it.
Wrote about my journey learning how to create an IoT VLAN on my home network using OPNsense and Omada AP's. Had to ask Xfinity to change my IPv6 prefix delegation to get things working. Phew!
