Woohoo! VSCode can connect to FreeBSD remotes.

Turns out you need to manually install node and npm on the remote after enabling Linux compatibility. That was the missing step!

Moving back to plain text files (Git-backed markdown) instead of using a self-hosted Bookstack instance for my personal memory/wiki has been very rewarding. The data feels much safer with less moving parts, and I've expanded the collection dramatically now that I can store code files in there too. Been meaning to write about it.

Wrote about my journey learning how to create an IoT VLAN on my home network using OPNsense and Omada AP's. Had to ask Xfinity to change my IPv6 prefix delegation to get things working. Phew!
