Lügenpresse!
Saw a melanistic squirrel (specifically, Eurasian squirrel, sciurus vulgaris; far as I know the only squirrel species around) near my place yesterday; it was *surprisingly* dark, but showed every behaviour of the local squirrels (on being approached running up the trunk on the far side, then looking from above, and reacting in clicking chatter with abrupt tail movements when being chattered at).
are there rocket nerds around here? FAR-OUT (Friends of Amateur Rocketry: Oxidizers Uninhibited Tournament) takes places annually in the Mojave desert, and it's *very* nerdy.

First launches at 9AM California time, but to not get bored, watch last year's live stream recording:

Oh, it's #MusicWomenWednesday again!
Today: Messa, an Italian #Doom #Metal band. It's a bit atypical for the genre just how solemn and slow they are (Epicus Dooomicus Metallicus sounds like death metal next to it; might be a bit #sludge!), and how beautifully piercing the vocals of singer Sara Bianchin are.
Founding myth is that they all like Bohren Und Der Club Of Gore, which kind of explains the velocity.
Anyways, here's "0=2" [1] from the 2022 "Close" album.
#lazyverse: I'm looking for a photo of direction signage that appeared on my timeline not so long ago.
It displays a Chinese blue road sign. It shows that to turn right, someone would need to basically take all but one of the right hand turns in a doubly-linked cloverleaf interchange, doing more than 500° of turning. Sign looked something like the below. Can someone point me to the photo, or even better, the post?
**EDIT**: solved; it's https://mk.absturztau.be/notes/amabrc2zz29n001m ! Thank you, @kevin !

Sigh. One day, even chat clients will not use nearest-neighbor resampling for images, and care for not introducing steps in rescaled images individual scaled rectangles (I'm not even sure *how* this could happen, seriously).
I'm guesstimating 2043, telling the rendering engine to not do that seems harder than fixing the 32 bit timestamp problem that we need to have solved by 2038.
