Totensonntag, November 22, 2025, is the annual date of #Berlin's Crematorium Day. On this day, the Berlin crematoria show visitors how cremation works, and you can go to some of these places around town.

Last month I spent a few days in Bologna to celebrate a friend's birthday. One of the reasons we went there was to visit a place that makes the famous Parmigiano Reggiano cheese. Since that place was close to #Parma, we ended up going for a walk around town after the cheese incident.

Yesterday I went out to celebrate my 14th year living in #Berlin. I arrived in town back in 2012 with a fundamentally wrong vision of what the city could be. And through the years I managed to find myself in it, and I still think the decision to move over here was the best one I ever made.

So, yesterday I went out to see fastcore legends Yacøpsæ play at Abstand/Rigaer78, and it was precisely what I had in mind.

Before I ever visited Hamburg, I had a vision of the city in my head. It was a modern German metropolis by the water, crowned by the Elbphilharmonie and the energy of one of Europe’s largest ports. When I went to the city for the first time, I got a better sense of it.

Here are my favorite historic sights in #Hamburg: https://ftrc.blog/landmarks-of-historic-hamburg/

There are no tourists in these shots of #Venice, which makes them look even more surreal. The streets are empty because my girlfriend and I got up early to see the sun rise over San Marco Square.

And I don't know who the couple taking wedding pictures is. I saw so many people taking pictures like that in the square that I had to document them somehow.

Six years ago this week, I was in #Belgrade to see the Western City Gate, also known as Genex Tower or Kula Geneks in Serbian.

This is a massive #brutalist skyscraper in Belgrade and can be seen from all around town.

When I went to check out how frozen the Müggelsee was, it was sunny and cold. A bit different from the weather today. And these pictures show that it was just as frozen as I thought it would be since I'm standing on top of the frozen lake.

When we got there, the icy landscape felt magical in many ways. I don't think I ever saw that much ice on a lake here in #Berlin, and the amount of people on top of it made it seem like I was safe…

Back in 2018, I read about an open call from the Jewish Museum in Berlin. They were asking for loops or skits of music with less than 60 seconds, and this music would be added to a Light and Sound Installation by Mischa Kuball.

This is the song I sent, and it became resonant loops EP by muqdisho

Early in January, I got together with some friends, and we took our cameras to the Orankesee to see the celebration behind 40 years of winter bathing in Berlin by the Berliner Seehundes.

The event was themed as a great circus, and this is why you can see so many people wearing costumes in the frozen water.

It was sunny and freezing when I took my camera to Köpenick on my way to see how frozen the Müggelsee was at the time. And these pictures show that it was just as frozen as I thought it would be.
