⚡ Once a critical node in the city’s power grid, Aboukir ectrical substation transformed and redistributed high-voltage electricity to central Paris.
In the foreground you can spot a high-voltage oil circuit breaker. This rolling cart was a safety system. If a fault occurred, the breaker would open inside a tank of insulating oil, preventing electric arcs.

🏔️ Perched atop one of Croatia’s most surreal monuments, we stood where seel meets sky. The Petrova Gora memorial, a decaying futuristic giant, rises defiantly from the forested hills.
Built in the early 1980s to commemorate the anti-fascist uprising during WWII, this monument was never truly finished, and yet, here it is, standing, weathered by time and conflict.

🚇 Neon Depths : Step into the bowels of Paris, in this charged atmosphere, a MP14 train stands still, glowing red like a vessel caught in time.
Line 14, originally named METEOR, was launched in 1998 as the first fully automated line in Paris. The MP14 trains are the latest generation: sleek, efficient, and futuristic.

🏭 Powerplant T
Stepping into the control room of powerplant T after the huge turbines room was such a pleasure contrast!
This thermal powerplant was commissioned in the 1920's. It played a crucial role in supplying electricity to the Milan area for decades.

🌃 Triangle of Steel
At 150 meters high on the freshly renovated Hopen Tower — formerly known as Tour Adria — we stood on of this angular roof, shaped like a ship slicing through the skyline.
Its sharp geometry and sleek lines reflect the pulse of La Défense, glowing under the cold gaze of the full moon.
The red lights reflections bouncing off glass and steel like something out of a cyberpunk scene.

Welcome to the depths of this abandoned quarry, as we explored this timeless corridor, one detail stood out: a chemical formula written directly on the wall.
CaC₂ + 2H₂O → C₂H₂ + Ca(OH)₂
That’s the reaction inside carbide lamps. Calcium carbide reacts with water to produce acetylene gas, which burns with a bright, warm flame. It feels raw and full of character.

Montcalm ⚓️
Welcome aboard a former French Navy anti-submarine frigate, now dismantled. The atmosphere inside was unique, a real metallic labyrinth, frozen in time.
In the Hangar the space opens up. On the ground, heavy ropes remind us that this ship was built to face the sea.
It was launched in 1980 and served until 2017. A once-formidable warship, now cut up and forgotten.
