Seems insanely stupid to me. Not really a fan of stuff like this, turned it off in Carrot Weather when I used it as well.

Also I really just dislike Alexa+ because the only thing I use my Alexa for is to turn a lamp on and off and now because it has to do its LLM thing and cycle through a server or something it actually takes longer for the lamp to go on and off lol.

I didn’t really plan on this but I picked up the base model Neo on the edu discount in Citrus.

I have no real need for this just because I already have a M1 Pro device but…citrus.

If I didn't already have a MBP I would have gotten the Neo. For my use case, I never hit the peak on the M1 Pro. I could definitely manage with 8GB of RAM and the lower storage. I could even deal with no TouchID.

Neo is cute, the edu pricing being 499/599 is nice. It'll probably do great with that crowd.
