Finally switched my main PC to Linux. I've been wanting to do this for about 6 years, but Ableton kept me on Windows. Fortunately, I've managed to switched to Bitwig. This has been the most freeing experience ever. My studio actually feels like it's my own studio and not Microsoft's. So glad to fully own all my computers.

what's next?

My whole #dj library is #mp3 files for two reasons: #ID3 tags are very convenient, and the small size makes me never even have to consider storage space. Once storage becomes cheap enough that full 32 bit PCM files would be just as portable, what type should we be using? #WAV would make sense since there would be no reason to compress anything, but metadata support isn't great. In fact, no PCM file types have wide metadata support besides #FLAC which has bitrate limitations. #music

I have three all-time sales on #bandcamp totalling $2.50 and after 10 years of producing #music and over 150k streams across different platforms, this is the highest earning/investment ratio I have ever seen. I'm new to bandcamp, but I'm staying. I've always been a huge proponent of ownership and hated music streaming, but for some reason I've never used a platform as direct as bandcamp. Working on uploading more of my music there including edits of songs for mixing!

HELP: I have absolutely no idea what genre to classify this as for streaming services. I would call it hard garage, but the #electronic genres don't get that specific on spotify and stuff.
