This has been many years in the making. We wanted to do it rightโ€”not simply get it done.

Our goal was to contribute, however modestly, to an academia that genuinely strives for inclusivity.

May the AWoPโ€”small as the step may beโ€”help move academia toward greater inclusion. ๐Ÿค๐Ÿซ‚๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€โšง๏ธโœŠโš–๏ธโ™ฟ๐Ÿฆฎ๐ŸŒ

Deep thanks to Sara Lil Middleton for her leadership, Justin for the outstanding app development, our co-authors, and the ๐Ÿ™Œ 200+ reviewers ๐Ÿ™Œ who contributed to this effort! We are deeply grateful.

๐Ÿ“ฃ Announcement from RoSE: A new collaborative research project is now officially endorsed as a @RoSE_Network_ ร— @FORRT initiative ๐ŸŽ‰

This Big Team Science review will explore:
What is the current state of evidence on the use of statistical packages in teaching and learning contexts?

Weโ€™re pleased to be working alongside FORRT to support and promote this work, the first of many collaborations to come.

COS and @FORRT are working together to increase discoverability and usability of replication evidence. This partnership enhances FORRT's replication database, supports the COS's metascience efforts, and advances open science.

Want to contribute? FORRT is hiring paid Data Curators to help expand its database!

COS and FORRT Partner to Increase Discoverability and Usability of Replication Evidence

The Center for Open Science (COS) is committed to increasing the openness, integrity, and reproducibility of research. Supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF), the Scaling Machine Assessments of Research Trustworthiness (SMART) competition exemplifies this mission by exploring innovative methods to predict the replicability of scientific findings using algorithms. This work expands the work from the Systematizing Confidence in Open Research and Evidence (SCORE) program. Central to this effort is a partnership with the Framework for Open and Reproducible Research Training (FORRT) and its resource, the FORRT Replication Database (FReD).

Already a brilliant new thing made at #OSR24NL there is now a FOERRT bot @FORRT_bot that highlights syllabi and courses about #OpenScience, #Reproducibility and related subjects. These materials are Open Educational Resources #OER that have been collected in @FORRTโ€™s curated resources. This bot was created during the 2024 Open Science Retreat #OSR24NL and is run by @lavaeolus, @juliapauquet & @lydiariedl

Heyooo FORRT people and friends, we are looking for existing guidelines about how to conduct replications. Please hit us with all the resources you know or can think of - anything helps! ๐Ÿ™Œ
